Sharing Stories and Ideas

It was a day of ideas and they truly were worth spreading.  Yesterday, I spent the day at UBC’s Terry Talks event, which as many of you know, is an independently organized Ted event.  We heard about sustainable development, went chasing passion, and even crossed a few borders to Tanzania and South Africa, all the while, learning to embrace our contradictions…and so much more.

Every speaker who embraced the Terry stage had one thing in common – passion.  It was tangible. It was exhilarating, motivating, and compelling.  There is nothing more important than sharing your story and doing it with conviction.

While I’ll leave it to you to check out the Terry website for the talks published online, I want to share with you a Ted talk that resonated with me.

Chimamanda Adichie talks about the stories and the importance of having plurality in literature

Today, search for the other side of the story.

Until next time,
